Last Sunday Izzie Button sent out a group notice about patina items in her store. I had already posted patina, but decided to hop on over to her store to have look see; maybe I could find something for Alice blue. Well I saw this cute and sexy off-the-shoulder sweater and thought, that’s for me! But she didn’t have Alice blue. I don’t think I’ve EVER seen that particular shade of blue in a store, so I had already decided that I would probably have to tint something.  But the sweater was fully mod, so I bought the white, tinted it, and here we are:)

This is kind of a two-fer Challenge post. Luna Jubilee issued an SL Love Challenge and of course, Gogo’s Lingerie Challenge. I’m a very lucky girl because there are many things I love in my SLife. Here are just a few…

• My partner, D. He is the bestest – in both lives. I really can’t even begin to explain how much I love this man. He puts up with my crap and always has loved me for me. Highs and lows, he’s been a constant for a very long time, and for that, I’m really thankful.

• My SL family. These people make SL worth logging in. No agendas or emotional manipulation, no opportunistic crap, no cutting and pasting of out of context IM’s (except for amusement’s sake on Plurk). These were totally foreign concepts to me in SL until I met these amazing people.

• Simply Stylish. I’ve met some amazing people through my blog. Other bloggers, designers, friends and family. It’s a great creative outlet for me and I love coming up with ideas for pictures and learning more and more about Photoshop.

• Mesh. Dresses… Tops… Bottoms… Shoes… I want it all. I’m still warming up to mesh hair, and there are improvements I would like to see made, but so far I love no longer being impaled by prim parts of shirts and dresses.

• SLuicide Girls. I haven’t mentioned this yet, but I am one of the newest SLuicide Girls. For now, I’ll let you guess which one. It is a HUGE step outside of my comfort zone and vanilla box, but one I am really looking forward to. These ladies are amazing!

Now if you are up on your hunts and decor, you recognize the coffee bar and the wall art as being from the Cafe Hunt. Gold stars for you. But our story really DOES start here. Well, maybe a bit further back than that when Lani decided she was tired of a roommate and wanted her own place. That lead to an apartment which coincidentally enough had all the tenants but one (I kid you not) leave this last week when horses and dogs and who knows what other odd noisy characters moved into the neighborhood.

In the end, I gave her the prims from my studio which I seldom use any longer. She moved down to the ground in a tiny house I built long ago. It is perfect for her and she is very happy. But, back to the story. Someone sent me a note about Dutchies and a new furniture hunt. Since Lani has almost no furniture, she was very interested — and THAT’s what lead to a two day hunting expedition on the HIWTHI Hunt.

… this past week has been absolutely nuts for me. I admitted myself into the hospital not knowing what to expect or not knowing what they would find in me that was causing so much pain.  I had a serious surgery to have two massive fibroids (one was over 25cm) removed and I have never experienced so much pain in my entire life.  The entire process was traumatic, painful, and thru it all, he gave me strength, courage, faith and offered me love and certainty that everything was going to be ok.

I made it out ok and now I am recovering. Thank you to all my ANGELS who said their prayers for me– so you know, he heard each and every one of them. Thank you to my mom and dad, Lucy Sharpshire and Gary Foxclaw for always answering the phones when I called, crying or complaining about the pain.  Thank you to everyone who welcomed me back and those who were understanding throughout the entire process.
