Drunk on Summer and Sunshine

Ever heard of Fashion Cache? Me neither. Until a few days ago that is! It’s another one of those monthly / weekly / bi-weekly / weekend / daily / minute events that are popping up all over the place. Everything that is released for Fashion Cache is 100L (or less?) including these ~~slutty~~ sexy Cropped Throwback Tee from Aura. Obviously, showing a whole lotta underboob is sooooooo passé (giggle giggle). There are 3 designs in three colours. After Fashion Cache, they will be available in the mainstore for 200L so snatch ‘em up now for a discounted price while you can.

The other day I was searching the Marketplace for mesh boots because one can never have enough. I WAS looking for sultry knee / thigh high boots but instead came across Dirty Lynx’s Baggers. Dirty Lynx is one of those stores that is not well known but has such amazing products. These Baggers are available in a variety of textures, come with optional “thermal wool” like socks and there are male and female versions (although SOMEONE who, just because she is incredibly cute, amazing, and thinks she can call me tiny said they look like big old man boots on me).

Hello!

I usually have tons of things I want to blog, so I decided to do something different this time.. not sure how long this style of pics will last but I’ve been a bit uninspired lately to take pics so… we will see! I think I started this post as several different ones.. and then I didn’t like them.. so I tried something different.. and did that several times.. until well.. this style happened. I always loved how they do this collage in magazines and even if it’s not perfect I like the way it turned out in the end. Hopefully it will get prettier with each post as I get to experiment more with placing the pictures and adding things.

The Ashraya Project

Ashraya, which means shelter in sanskrit, is an organization based in India which operates with the purpose of providing aid to Indian children in need and abused women through the implementation of various projects. The Ashraya Project in SL opens tomorrow, May 5th, and the proceeds will go towards this wonderful organization.

There are many events planned for this project, including fashion shows and parties, check out the Schedule of Events page for all the details. The Ashraya Project will run from May 5th till June 4th.

I’m wearing a mesh sari from Bilo that will be available tomorrow at this event in many bright and beautiful colors. The proceeds from the purple one I’m wearing in the second picture will go towards the charity. What I love most about this sari is, it can be worn with or without the dupatta.

Bilo is a new brand to me which I noticed on plurk a few weeks ago. You’ll find lots of gorgeous mesh dresses here. Check out Bilo on Marketplace for more of their designs.

Post: Hello! What’s popping? I passed my driver’s test today. No exclamation mark. I’m trying to remain calm & collected because that’s what’s classy. No biggie. Tell me who’s the boss ninja daddy? I’m the boss ninja daddy. Whoop whoop. Anywho, you might have noticed, if you’re a regular reader of this terrific and educational blog, that I changed the layout. The other one was cool but I got sick of it and I wanted something brighter and cleaner. I like it, except that the pictures aren’t as centered as the other one, but I’ll get to use to it or I’ll just change it back. Whatever. I might just break everything if it pisses me off enough. Also, there’s like a bunch of releases. Milk Motion released a new collection which consist of these super cool harem kind of looking pants. They come in solids and cool ass swaggered prints. I’m telling you, prints are in. Also, Glam Affair released this cool high waist pants, I love high waist. Then there’s culture shock with ufo and these cool new skirts by Irie Campese, the Sleaze Master. And I’ll be releasing a solo CD album next week. It’s mad cool. It’s me singing in the bathroom, you know, gotta take advantage of those acoustics. So that wraps up my section with releases. What the hell is Obama doing in Afghanistan? I wouldn’t do that because I would fear the likely possibility of getting my ass jumped. I didn’t take statistics or anything, but I just think its common sense. Celebrate Osama’s death on american soil, boo. Not up in his hometown. Please, please, please secret service, don’t come after me, I’m just a dumb teenage whore who likes to blab about things that I don’t anything about. Leave me be. Well, go shop or something.

Ohai!

Loads of events going on right now so I have loads of pretty things to show you. Yay.

This gorgeous hair (which will forever more be referred to as “the hair I am wearing for all eternity”) is from Wasabi Pills for faMESHed which is a new monthly event starting in May showcasing fabulous mesh goodies. The clue was kinda in the name on that one. This adorable necklace is from Caroline’s for Culture Shock and 100% of the proceeds from this will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières. It comes in both gold and silver and is just too cute not to go get. And it’s for a good cause so guilt free shopping. Woot. The skin and eyes are from Glam Affair and Tableau Vivant respectively and are exclusive to their Sent To Destroy collection. There are many other designers included in this collectiont too so it really is worth checking out. The dress is from -paper.doll- and I just love the colour and the texture and the fading and everything. It’s mesh so as always, please demo first. No event for this one, it’s just cute with a capital scrumptious.

i am forever looking for awesome new places to snap pics — it can often be harder to find a sim to stage my “virtual photoshoots” on than it can be to figure out what to wear. there are lots of detailed && wonderful builds out there in the metaverse, but *finding* them can be a bit of a problem!

i personally find inworld snapshots, rather than ones taken in my big white box, to be more… interesting. and while it certainly can be a challenge to find the right sim to use as a backdrop, it is a challenge i am willing to take on! because otherwise?

shots like this wouldn’t happen.

and it’s all thanks to ylva korhonen (and also ivey deschanel!) that i even know about this build. it is full of such amazing sci-fi gorgeousness that i about *died*.

cidatel is actually home a *new* roleplay opening soon… and while i myself am not a big roleplayer in SL, this spacey station is something that could reeeeeeeally tempt me.

especially if i had an excuse to dress like this more often! \o/

i knew i had to dress befitting of the ship’s scenery, so i based my look on matching this dress i picked up from ladies who lunch — with long latex gloves from sn@tch, makeup tattoos from miss shippe’s studio, cstar && ae meth, and some *killer* thigh-high mesh boots (that are so affordable!) from hoc.

i took these fashion shots on the ship’s hangar, but there was even more to explore. so i decided to take a few extra photographs, just to show off a li’l peek at the rest of the build. check ‘em out!
