There is a small but very tasteful event on the grid at the moment for the fibromyalgia. Trying to bring awareness to this condition with in the sl community

Their Mission statement :-

To increase fibromyalgia awareness through virtual education.

All are free to join and learn about this often misunderstood and misdiagnosed condition.

Support group meetings are held on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of each month at 6pm SLT.

Nearly all the vendors have a gift out so please do hop over and look, donate and learn.

Always looking out for a few topnotch gifts for you as I meander around…whilst doing the momiji hunt (see post below) I found ooodles of group gifts from Lavanda also..in one of the boxes was this sooper pretty lingerie, necklace & earings (it was for valentines I think)…tres chic !

also in the same box was the tied around the waist sweater (v.handy) and scarf …there were loads more go see ! (YES, I’m still wearing that lully freee skin I got in the momiji hunt by Modish…yummm)

I can’t recall how I got to the next store…but Im glad I did find it…called Mind Games…good selection of reasonably priced gear…I naturally gravitated to the freebie & group gifts section…snapped up this mesh skirt (which I couldn’t find justttt the right fit in but my shape is no mod, blah) and also this rather cheerful zesty blouse which I LOVE !

Picked up a stunning white dress and nabbed a free hat to go with it – voila ! Go visit and mooch..both groups are free join btw…the gifts section for Lavanda is right by the door as you walk in, and for Mind Games teleport from the handy dandy board as you enter the store.

aww this is such a sweet fun hunt! Its pretty quick to do..and even I found the items *faints*…its all based around one shopping area at Lavanda Square.Youre looking for these teeny tiny momiji dolls…join the group FIRST ! -there is a joiner board when you arrive…when you find a dolly, click it and you’re given a larger version that you wear…youre looking for the ONE dolly that gives you a landmark . The super secret landmark is the prize location..and theres heapsss of beautiful goodies ! I’m showing a small selection of my favs..the outfit is from Indyra, gum & glasses from MDL, the pretty bag is from Bag Lady..and the deeeelightful skin by Modish…I really enjoyed doing this hunt..and usually I find it all a bit stressssy !

Culture shock is here us until the 26th May so there is plenty of time to go and wonder the streets. I waited for the frenzy to die down a little and went exploring today.

Culture Shock and added freeness

Hola ! The Second annual “Culture Shock” event runs until May 26th ! The chosen charity for this event is Médecins Sans Frontières (Doctors without Borders) As you arrive at this event you are checked for high scripts…so be sure to remove all unnecessary items (my shoes were the worst!) or you will find a red barrier preventing you from entering. There is soooo much to see…about 180 designers worth of stores to explore, and all for a great cause. [echo] is one of these, and the lovely Echo Requiem send me a box of her items to show you ! Above I’m wearing the plaid Interval mesh jacket…traditional design with extra flair…sits beautifully over one of the ligature leather mesh skirts …totally adore this style of skirt..the brilliant leather look, coupled with a jaunty flared hem…perfect…(check out the red, super classy tone)..I’m also wearing this months gift skin from Filthy “Jasmine” in beach tan, you get a boatload of skins in various shades…join fee applies, and with a skin like this as a gift…just DO it !

Had to keep that leather skirt on, this time worn with the latest group gift from Schwarz, a teeny top that leaves your torso mostly bare..yumm…thanks Gelsi <3 There is a small group join fee, but totally worth it for the offers & gifties ! My jewelry is from the fantastique sale at Dark Mouse..10L for single packs, 25L for fat packs *faints*…I took Zan over and she went CRAZY ! Its such awesome quality you just cant stop buying..go to the rear of the store, and enter the red tent…these items will not be available after this sale..so grab em while you can (SIX luckyboards in the store to stalk also !)

Last up..as I was wandering around Culture Shock..I stumblebumbled over a free gift from AlterEgo…a box containing six versions of this sweet outfit, you get the stockings and dress…peek at the rear…gorjuss chain that runs up your spine…thanks alterego !

YOLO hunt 2012 + May update

Welcome May!

Many new things going on this month: YOLO hunt 2012 (official blog+list here) and the 5th Annual Secondlife Home and Garden Expo (website here). I’m participating in both! But first, YOLO! The hunt is from 1st-15th May, and this set of eyes is the prize. This set includes regular eyes+mesh eyes. 3 colours according to the theme of the hunt! I want to thank Nyu for her help with the mesh eyes. <3 Oh yes, you’ll be looking for a ‘y’ shaped object in this hunt.

And for Home and Garden expo, I made some decor art pieces~ I will put out landmarks when I can. Loads of things going on in this expo, it’s a total of 14 sims with loads of great designers. Everyone will have new items out for this event with proceeds going to the Relay For Life fund (a fundraising campaign for the American Cancer Society). The event opens May 19th at 6am SLT, so I will try to release more info later on if I can~

Lastly, new group gift is out at my store: knee high socks! Loads of colours to choose from, plus the lucky board version is out. Do come and have a look, and happy May!

Long loved this store…so many original wall decals to choose from and amazingly low prices..at the moment they are in three hunts…so I headed over to scoop the prizes up ! I’ve used the gift from the Poppin Penguin Hunt against a red wall background..the decal was originally a dark purple colour…but the cooool thing is you can edit them, so I made this one white…stands out huh? These are fahhhbulous to liven up a wall…or use instead of framed pics etc..Ive used them in our home a LOT ! Before I left I couldn’t resist buying another one….go see and enjoy ! All hunt info is on the wall, right hand side as you enter.

My father has always loved jigsaws, and I admire his tenacity in doing them..Im just toooo impatient ! When I saw this sweet freebie on the market place I had to get it - reminds me of home aww…its by Kubric Flux…purely for decor purposes and at only 2 prims, would grace most homes beautifully ! I think the “it” items of the week are both from Aura. And both mesh. And both ridiculously sexy. No doubt that you’ve seen half the female SL population walking around in Aura‘s Stumblebum item, the rigged mesh Boho Ruffle Top…which boho? Really? Boho wasn’t the first style/culture that came to mind, I thought country right away but I guess Country Ruffle Top doesn’t have the same appeal. Aaaaaaaaaaand most are probably wearing Aura‘s mesh Class Act Jeans which is available at faMESHed. But if you don’t want to go to there, you can get a FREE pair of the Class Act Jeans as part of the YOLO hunt which just started today and runs till the 15th. A new month means we all get sooo spoilt by our fav designers ! CandyMetal are always sooper generous..and this month there’s a stonking big fat box waiting for collection by group members. Not only do you get a fantastic skin…but also one of the newly released ruffle mesh tops , plussss a teeny tiny pair of shorts (which Iam wearing but are soooo short you can’t see em lol) anddddd a pair of mesh boots with co ordinating tops ! *gasp* Gawd…thats a huuuuge gifty no?

Looks like the designers in SL are opening the summer floodgates early this year…I hung out down by our jetty for this nautical themed outfit..mesh sailor top in beige by CandyMetal (other colours available) new mesh moccasins also by CandyMetal…and some easy going shorts by Somnia. (These shorts are for Culture Shock and are 50% off the normal price..all proceeds from this event go to Médecins Sans Frontières, also in addition to the three donation items 50% of all the regular items from Somnia at Culture Shock will also be donating 50% to Médecins Sans Frontières. )

Arisaris have pulled out all the stops with this gorjus mesh baggy styled blouse & belt combo…absolutly love the rich ruby colour and big floral pattern. The belt is just perfect, great big tassels at the ties…and sits comfortably around your hips.

Bubblez have also headed into summer with this new release dress.”Lovelove”..washed out colours that fade to the hemline..crochet straps, shabby buttons..perfect !
