What with one thing and another, it’s been a long time since I’ve blogged. I didn’t realize how long until I opened WordPress to do this post. Life is good, but super busy.
For the last week I’ve been standing on my front porch in this outfit and I finally took pictures!
I’m wearing some of the latest mesh from e! Eclectic Apparel and Accessories. The Marion pencil skirt and Lola tube top came out last weekend. They are great pieces to mix and match, and when you put them together like this they make a sleek strapless dress.

I went for a bit of a vintage look with this Louise Brooks hair from Clawtooth by Clawtooth, and something about the polka dots and the slinky figure hugging look was just perfect with pearls and retro sunglasses from Donna Flora. I finished the look with this cute satin box clutch from Coco and the Alex t-strap heels from G. Field.

This is a quickie, drive-by post with two pictures and a few words. Sometimes that’s all you need to get the job done. Save a kitty, ride a…panda?
I am a huge animal lover. I am also deathly allergic to cats and dogs. It's a huge downer, I drive myself nuts looking at photos of various animals online that I wish I could own, and know I never can. Even with the allergy shots, I can end up in the ER particularly around cats. I still dare to dream, even though I can never have one. So, on Plurk last week when I saw Intrigue, Co's message about needing help with her cat Shadow IRL I properly did the pouty face and decided to go grab what Katherine had put out to help raise funds for her precious pet.
Not asking for outright donations, she has put out 3 items that you can donate toward. A mere 10L or more donation gets you one of the three items! Also, the PJ's come with a box for females and one for men so guyssss…suit up! I mean, that's a hell of a bargain and if you're feeling generous you can donate as much as you like per item. This here 'Roo PJ is one of the items and there was also a Ram but…I thought I made a better Kangaroo for the photos. Cute, right!?

Basking in the Glow
While this is a design post, my lead photo features a ladylike updo from MINA hair called Charlize. It comes with a hud that let’s you change to three tones. It is slightly messy and can work for both casual and formal occasions.
And here’s the rest of the story. A new skybox from Trompe Loeil called Zuma Hills. If you love white, minimalist and modern, this is definitely for you. It is big and roomy with a great variety of spaces to decorate. I love the little square recessed lights and the stairs are definitely a focal point.
A sleek kitchen offers a great entertaining area and the whole house is open with plenty of outdoor areas including a beautifully shaped pool.
At only 198 prims, it is an impressive piece of architecture. It will fit on a 2048 lot if you cheat just a tad with the base hanging over the neighbor’s. You can of course use this on the ground. See it in world HERE. The build includes some low impact furnishings for living room and dining (stool shown above) bringing the total impact count to 236.
You can also purchase the super low impact furniture separately. Find it inside the house; vendors are above the fireplace.

Cinco de Mayo is special for me for two reasons. None of which have anything to do with the actual holiday lol, but such is life. I'm not Mexican, but I know a lot of my family get properly smashed in celebration of our south of the border neighbors. First of all, my very good friend that drug me into SL and then left without a second though (yep, guilt trip Buggy!) her birthday is today! The other reason it is significant for me is 3 years ago today, I began blogging after a lot of coercion from Aeris. I've of course, taken a few breaks here and there where I haven't blogged for a bit but for the most part I've found blogging to be very fun and a constant learning experience.
What I've learned the most about blogging is it isn't always about the photo. A clean, clear photograph without all the fancy stuffs can be just as powerful but the extra things can be a lot of fun to play with. Also, I like blogging simply to blog. I appreciate the views, the people that take the time to read all my nonsense and the lovely comments I get from time to time. I'd still do it if I didn't have that though, its just fun to me to be creative in this way. I've met a few fellow bloggers and they inspire me to be better, to do more. That's a beautiful thing, and I'm happy to be a part of a community like that.
I don't know how much longer I may or may not continue to blog, but I know that the last 3 years have been awesome. I've learned so much and continue to learn more everyday. Covering events, new releases, working with fellow bloggers…blog challenges. It all makes it a pretty awesome experience.
I've got to thank a fellow blogger for my photo location today, Alicia Chenaux who is also a FaMESHed blogger did a post last night while I was searching frantically for a Cinco de Mayo-ish sim to take pics in and I was entirely grateful for that. If you haven't read her blog, its very cute and lots of stories which as a rambler…I love. Hope you all have a great weekend, don't overdo the drinking! Hangovers are a biznitch

Like for instance this classy blazer from Nyte ‘n Day. Worn with the black hotpants that come with it, this is a hell of a sexy number, but I decided to dress it up a bit more with the Marion skirt from Eclectic Apparel and Michami‘s grey washed out tank (former TDR item) and make it into a perfect professional look. The necklace I’m wearing is from Maxi Gossamer and it was a gift from my dear Sylvia Olivier.
