There’s a sale at Nomine and I bought one of each kind of dress I didn’t already have. I have a serious shopping addiction. It could be worse, I suppose. I could be into murder or jewel theft as a hobby. Anyway, the dress and the skin are from Nomine (Almost the entire store is marked to 100L). The hair is from Burley and the jewelry is from Amorous. Culture Shock I can just say that I love you! As I told you in my last blogposts this amazing events is raising money for Médecins Sans Frontieres. I am wearing this amazing hair from Magpie, I tinted it a tiny bit to make it match my outfit, but other then that I love it. I love hairs with hats attached because it is way less work to make it fit… Yes I am lazy… Oh and some good news, this hair is actually a gift at Culture Shock, so be sure to check it out. (not sure if this colour is a gift too *blush*)

My pants is available at Culture Shock too from a new-to-me store (is it a new store or am I just a noob?) called Molichino, they have some amazing mesh clothing available. This high waist pants is just amazing and looks great with a lot of different styles. They also have a very cute high waisted mesh shorts available…

Redemption

So, last night… and into the wee hours of the morning, I attempted to dress my pixels. However, I was highly “distracted”… (I blame ahh-ssss-hole ) and very much off “my game”! I was seriously a hot mess for about 6 hours. I tried on about 10 give or take 5 outfits and all of them were just “special”. Finally, at like 5am… I gave up. After like 3 hours of sleep, I decided I needed to redeem myself. Below, you will find my “redemption”. The romper from Collabor88 is seriously friggen adorable and it’s 88L’s! The hair and skin are from there as well… so, yeah… my redemption wasn’t even expensive- imagine that.

Mostly when in rl my weekend starts i am going to put on my sweater and baggy shorts so when Gizza released there hooded sweater and baggy shorts i was very enthusiastic about it. It feeling i was coming home haha. Both the sweater and the shorts come in different colors and are easy to mix with each other. I choose to wear the red and white combi and put on my sneakers and jumped on my bike.

Looking Good while Doing Good Has Never Been so Easy

Looking good while doing good has never been so easy. There are two huge multi-week events raising funds for great charities. I have talked a lot about Culture Shock and the work of Médecins Sans Frontières MSF (Doctors Without Borders) and wanted to pass on the news that the script gate has been removed now that the first flush of heavy traffic has subsided.

Today, however, I want to mention the other event – The Ashraya Project to raise funds for Ashraya, an Indian charity that works with women and children, providing shelter and support to women and children who are poor, abandoned or survivors of abuse. In addition to fabulous clothing from 80 generous designers, there are concerts, and art expo, auctions and more. Be sure to check out their website so you don’t miss out on anything.

One thing you really do not want to miss out on is the fabulous gold Liree gown from MiaMai. It has such sleek shiny fabric of glittery goodness.

The Liree gown is a stunning, body hugging formal gown perfect for red carpets everywhere. I love the way the skirt ends with heavy, silk charmeuse panels that radiate down in triangles from just above the knee.

Izzie’s released a new skin today! Dailyn is available in 6 skin tones (pale, sunkissed, tan, caramel, deep tan and mocha) with natural make-up. Hi again! I decided to dress up again to show some more goodness from Culture Shock. Priss has an exclusive release of the beautiful dress that I am wearing in four colors there. However, the one that I am wearing is one of the donation items from Priss. To compliment it, I had the idea of using the necklace from undefined lilies also available at Culture Shock. This month is probably the most busy month in my year of existence. SO much is going on. I don’t think I will be able to let you know of all of the things going on. However, I will let you know of one thing going on: Culture Shock. Urbana is back with some new releases there, like this dress I am wearing. There is also a special version that is a donation item for the charity that Culture Shock benefits but the other two colors that this dress comes in is beautiful as well!

There is something else that I need to mention here though. The bag that I am wearing here, is beautiful but problematic. When I bought it, I thought that it was cute, and there was no demo. I figured that was alright since it states that it comes with two animations. Today, I found out that both bag animations, only work with your AO off, and also you can’t be using a pose either. Just wanted to give a heads up. Sorry for length!

Tutorial – Editing Jewelry When You Cannot See It

I love Boom’s fabulous pastel ombre backless tees at Collabor88. The come in all shades of pastel and are as fresh as springtime. Before choosing this jewelry from Bliensen & Maitai, I tried on several other options, a couple of them falling so deep into my torso they were not even visible. This made me think it might be useful to share a few tricks for dealing with that dilemma.

There are a few options, some people try to cam inside the body and select the jewelry. I find that so frustrating because sometimes I can see the prim to select and SL will not let me select it because there’s another prim in the way. I used to go to edit mode and make my shape short, raise the necklace over my head and then restore my shape again. Not my favorite options. There are easier ways to do it.

This is pretty easy to do. As you can see, the jewelry is not visible. I go to the Develop Menu and under Rendering, select Wireframe. This makes all visible. This is handy when you are trying to find your posestand under a rock or other prim as well. Once it’s selected, I can edit it. I usually use the arrows to edit, but sometimes I use the XYZ axis controls for more control of small adjustments.

Another easy option is to open your inventory window and select the option and right-click and choose Edit. Again, you can edit with the arrows or the XYZ Axis controls.

I added some tights from Tulip that I looked for on Marketplace. Speaking of Marketplace, my eyes melted when I entered tights in the search window. I have no idea why that brought up a bunch of attachable peens, but that’s marketplace for you, the library of unreliable search results. It’s lamentable that browsing is a more effective method of looking for something than search.

Could I have chosen more perfect shoes. The feather can be turned off, but the feather is perfect! I love these boots with tights. They seem designed to show off tights.

Well, after all that, I must feature this gorgeous set from Bliensen & Maitai. It’s called Suzi Q and comes in three options. This one is called Glow. The hair is from Dura and the skin is PXL Creations’ gorgeous Kate with eye shadow and lip tattoos.
